SPECIALISTS FROM TYUMEN CARDIOLOGY CENTER AT WORLD CONGRESS OF CARDIOLOGY

Vadim A. Kuznetsov presented two posters at the Congress. The first presentation was devoted to peculiarities of the clinical course of coronary atherosclerosis in the population of Western Siberia; the second one was concerned with  small-vessel   coronary artery disease.

According to Vadim A. Kuznetsov, it won’t be exaggeration to say that  this year the World Congress of Cardiology has been unique. About 20,000 cardiologists from 100 countries gathered there. The main objective of the Congress was to discover new, more effective methods of preventing, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular diseases.   Another aim set   by the Congress organizers was to get together about 190 cardiology communities and foundations in order to help people prolong and improve their lives by means of prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases.

It should be mentioned, that the World Heart Federation’s Congress is held every two years (before 2006 the congress had been held every four years). A program of the congress comprises satellite symposia, forums, workshops at which the most important issues of contemporary cardiology are discussed.
