SPECIALIST OF TYUMEN CARDIOLOGY CENTER AT WORKSHOP IN PRAGUE

The workshop was oriented towards specialists in functional diagnostics, cardiologists, electrophysiologists who in their daily practice deal with analysis and interpretation of electrocardiograms and diagnosis of arrhythmias. Fluent English and presentation skills in English were among the essential requirements for participants, because the seminar was held in question-and-answer mode and the participants were supposed to prove their points of view before the audience. 44 delegates from 8 countries gathered at the workshop. Two well-known specialists in electrocardiography -  Hein Wellens,  a professor at Maastricht  University (the Netherlands), and Mark Josephson, a U.S. professor , delivered lectures and gave lessons.
Victor V. Todosiychuk said: “Though I’ve been doing electrocardiograms for about 30 years, at this workshop I realized that there are still some fields of knowledge which can be very useful. Our foreign colleagues use different approach than we do. They decipher ECG as clinicians, not only from the functional point of view. And this is very interesting. The workshop programme was highly topical and well-organized, everything was held in question-and-answer mode. I liked it that lecturers didn`t only use slides but drew diagrams, for example arrhythmia mechanisms, right in the hall and then showed them with the help of a special tool. It should be noted that new knowledge combined well with new acquaintances. I made friends with physicians from Poland, Slovakia and some cities of Russia. I suppose this is the beginning of fruitful cooperation. Some of them are coming to our annul conference in October. By the way, Tyumen Cardiology Center is well-known abroad and I heard a lot of kind words about it as one of the best centers in Russia.”
Viktor Viktorovich brought a folder full of electrocardiograms – complicated and interesting cases, and once a week he gives lessons in his department studying these cases with doctors and teaching specialists. The brought material will suffice for a year.
