SCIENTISTS OF TYUMEN AND KURGAN DISCUSSED POSSIBILITIES OF INNOVATIVE CARDIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGIES

Kuznetsov, Professor of Cardiology, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Centre and I.G.Makarenko, deputy chief of central administrative board of Kurgan region Healthcare Department greeted the participants at the opening of the conference.

The conference started with the lectures of scientist-cardiologists about pressing cardiological questions, which are connected with the implementation of priority directions of a national project «Health». In particular, the problem at issue was about development and application of innovative technologies in treatment of congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmia. All these diseases are the main causes of death all over the world. Vadim A. Kuznetsov, MD, PhD, Professor of Cardiology, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Honored scientist of the Russian Federation; Ludmila I.Gapon, Professor of Cardiology, Honored scientist of the Russian Federation, Head, Scientific Division of Clinical Cardiology; T.V.Rybakova, deputy chief doctor on therapeutic work of Kurgan region Cardiology Clinic; A.Yu.Rychkov, MD, PhD,  Professor, Head, Heart Rhythm Disturbances Department, Tyumen Cardiology Center; E.P.Gultyaeva, MD, cardiologist of  Tyumen Cardiology Center and D.V.Krinochkin, MD, PhD,  Head, Department of Ultrasound Diagnostics gave lectures at the conference.

There were about 100 cardiologists and therapists of Kurgan and Kurgan region at the conference. It should be added that the main objectives of such conferences are exchange of practical experience and discussion of new achievements in regional cardiology. It is worth mentioning that the cooperation of Kurgan and Tyumen cardiologists lasts for many years. The main aim of a joint work is a rise of accessibility of high-technology methods of treatment for Kurgan and Kurgan region patients. In 2008 124 patients from Kurgan underwent a course of medical treatment in Tyumen Cardiology Center, including 56 patients, who got the aid at federal budget expense, according to the quota.
