Elena Alexandrovna Shumejko, the head of the Cardiology Center Admission, explained: “Due to the unstable atmospheric pressure people susceptible to hypertensive crisis may feel change for the worse. The number of patients appealing to our admission has increased”.
The biggest number of the admitted was registered on November 19, when 10 patients in grave condition were brought to the Center. Each of them received an acute cardiological care. The patients were admitted to the intensive care unit and there they had advanced technology procedures made. Particularly, one of the patients – a 57-year old man – was newly diagnosed with myocardial infarction and had primary balloon angioplasty performed.
In addition, cardiologists recommend organizing efficient working conditions in the days of adverse weather, i.e. avoiding excessive physical activity and stress situations. It is better to have rest and to be on a balanced diet. If you notice first alarming symptoms (chest pain, dizziness, etc.), you need to consult a doctor. |
