Residency

Training Terms 

Admission to the Residency is based on the results of competition. Applicants are admitted to the Program either free of charge on a state-financed basis or on a commercial basis under the contract  (the tuition fee is about 139 999.00 rubles for the whole training course).
  • Length of training – 2 years
  • Education is conducted on a day basis.
  • Academic year starts on September 1, 2010

Only day training is provided within the Residency Program.

Deadline for submission of applications is June 1, 2010.

Residents of Tyumen Cardiology Center:
  • Study according to their individual training plan under supervision of the coordinator of the training department N.Yu. Saveljeva, MD, Assistant Professor, Senior Research Associate, Department of Arterial Hypertension and Coronary Insufficiency;
  • Undergo annual performance evaluation;
  • Get basic knowledge and acquire practical skills at all the departments of the clinic;
  • Participate in scientific events, organized by the institution, where well-renowned scientists and specialists present results of their researches;
  • Travel to leading Russian and foreign hospitals to take training courses in highly tailored methods of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases;
  • Do research to be eligible to enter the Fellowship later;
On fulfillment of the individual plan a resident receives a Certificate of completion of the Residency Program. After passing the final evaluation exam he or she receives a Certificate in Cardiology. Those residents who do well during their residency training, after it can get a job at Tyumen Cardiology Center.
 
To apply for the Residency Program in Cardiology, you will need the following materials:
  • Personal Statement
  • Personal Form of Personnel Registration
  • Copy of Medical School Diploma and Transcript
  • Copy of Certificate of completion of Internship in Therapy and Copy of Certificate of being given the specialty
  • Copy of Work book (it should be attested)
  • Copy of Passport
  • Personal Details Form
  • Biographical information form
  • Reference (Assignment-recommendation from the latest place of work or studies with the description of an applicant’s professional level, of his or her professional and managerial qualities. The reference should also include information on a specialty and objectives of training and the institution which you apply for residency.
