Fellowship

Entrance examinations to the Fellowship are usually held in June.  Applicants for the Cardiology Fellowship  are to take the following examinations:

  • Foreign language
  • Philosophy
  • Cardiology
On the results of competition, an applicant can be admitted to:
  • Day Fellowship (Length of education – 3 years) either free of charge on a state-financed basis or on a commercial basis under the contract (the tuition fee is about 188 999.00 rubles for the whole training course).
  • Correspondence Fellowship (Length of education – 4 years) on a contract basis only.
Studies start on October 1, 2010.
 
Earlier graduation from the Fellowship is possible, provided a fellow has  passed minimum requirements for a Candidate’s degree (exams in English, History and Philosophy of Science, Cardiology) and prepared a thesis for appraisal and presentation earlier than it is due.
 
Deadline for submission of applications  is May 1, 2010.

Fellows of Tyumen Cardiology Center:
  • Study and prepare theses according to their individual training plan under supervision of highly qualified faculty members of the institution;
  • Undergo annual performance evaluation;
  • Get basic knowledge and acquire practical skills at all the departments of the clinic;
  • Use material and technical basis and scientific potential of the institution to do researches that have been scheduled and approved by the Biomedical Ethics Committee of the Tyumen Cardiology Center;
  • Read for and take qualifying examinations for the Candidate’s  degree (free of charge);
  • Participate in scientific events, organized by the institution, where well-renowned scientists and specialists present results of their researches;
  • Travel to leading Russian and foreign hospitals to take training courses in highly tailored methods of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases;
  • Submit abstracts and articles based on their research results for publication;
  • Present reports at scientific events of regional and international scale held in Tyumen and other cities;
  • Participate in competitions for awarding research grants and competitions of young scientists;
On fulfillment of the individual plan a fellow receives a Certificate of completion of the Fellowship Program. After passing the final evaluation exam he or she receives a Certificate in Cardiology. Those fellows who do well during their Fellowship training, after it can get a job at Tyumen Cardiology Center.
 
To apply for the Cardiology Fellowship, you will need the following materials:
  • Personal Statement
  • Personal Form of Personnel Registration
  • Copy of Medical School Diploma and Transcript
  • Copy of Certificate of completion of Internship in Therapy and Copy of Certificate of being given the specialty
  • Copy of Work book (it should be attested)
  • Copy of Passport
  • Personal Details Form
  • Biographical information form
  • Reference from the latest place of work or studies with the description of an applicant’s professional level, of his or her professional and managerial qualities.
  • Certificate that proves that an applicant has already passed minimum requirements for the Candidate`s degree, in case the examinations have been taken earlier
  • Supervisor’s feedback based on the results of an interview
  • 3 Recent photographs (3×4)
