International Cooperation

International cooperation is one of the directions of the scientific activity of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center - branch of Tomsk National Research Medical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It contributes to the development of priority areas of medical science, the development of highly skilled medical care.

The main directions of international cooperation:

• implementation of fundamental and applied research in cardiology and cardiovascular medicine;
• exchange of scientific and clinical specialists, continuing education and trainings for the staff;
  
• organization of scientific meetings, training courses, conferences and workshops;
  
• scientific collaboration within international projects and agreements;
  
• cooperation with various international organizations, medical and scientific societies and professional associations.

• to integrate into the professional world community;
• to develop medical innovations studying international experience;
  
• to intensify modern knowledge and technology exchange.

Tyumen Cardiology Research Center implements joint scientific projects with foreign colleagues on topical issues of cardiology. International cooperation is successfully developing with such partner countries as USA, Israel, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Great Britain, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc.

Leading specialists of the Center are fellows and members of international professional scientific organizations, such as European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, European Heart Rhythm Association, European Association for Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions,Heart Failure Specialists of Tomorrow (HoT-ESC) and many others.

 In 2004 the Russian Chapter of the International Society for Cardiovascular Ultrasound was founded on the base of the Tyumen Cardiology Research Center.

Scientific researchers of Tyumen Cardiology Center participate in the work of Editorial Boards and are reviewers of authoritative foreign scientific journals such as Polish Journal of Cardiology, Echocardiography, European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Imaging, Cardiovascular Ultrasound and others.

Specialists of the Center regularly undergo trainings in large Russian and foreign research institutions. Our interventional cardiologists have been trained in leading hospitals in USA, Poland, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, the Czech Republic and other countries.

Physicians of the Center take part in many international multicenter clinical trials.

Our International Meetings

Tyumen Cardiology Research Center annually organizes international scientific events that have already become well known in the world of cardiology. More than 500 participants attend our conferences every year, famous foreign specialists from many countries present lectures and reports.

Our Center held 27 Annual International Conferences «Cardiology Update» (1994-2021), 11 International Congresses «Cardiology at a Crossroad of Sciences» (2010-2021), 15 International Symposia of Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound (2004-2021), International Congress on Geriatric Cardiology and Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging (2009), Russian-American Symposium «Update in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions in Coronary Artery Disease» (2008),World Congress of the International Cardiac Doppler Society (2006), International Course on Transesophageal Echocardiography by Dr. Lee Frazin (2005) and many other events that aroused great interest among Russian and foreign participants and were highly appreciated for their scientific and organizational level. Our international congresses are provided with specialized simultaneous translation. In different years the leading scientists from different countries were the Co-presidents of our congresses: Prof. Fausto Pinto (Portugal), Prof. Navin Nanda (USA), Prof. Raimund Erbel (Germany), Prof. Jaroslaw Kasprzak (Poland), Prof. Nelson Schiller (USA) and many others.

Participation in international events

Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center actively present the results of their scientific and clinical work at the international level, annually taking part in conferences, congresses and symposia. During the last three years they participated in more than 70 international scientific meetings with oral and poster presentations, invited lectures, interesting cases including such big prestigious conferences as World Congress of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Health, European Society of Cardiology Congress, American College of Cardiology Annual Scientific Session, EuroEcho-Imaging, World Congress of Echocardiography and Allied Techniques, ТСТ - Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics Congress, European Atherosclerosis Society Congress, EuroPCR meeting and so on.
