In 1983 Dr. Petelina graduated from General Medicine Faculty of Tyumen State Medical University. After internship, she worked as a therapist of the Outpatient Department since 1984, then completed the residency in cardiology and since 1989 worked as cardiologist, Junior Scientific Researcher (1993), Scientific Researcher (1994), Senior Scientific Researcher(2000), Leading Scientific Researcher (since 2017 to present) of the Department of Arterial Hypertension and Coronary Insufficiency, since 2018 she has held the position of Deputy Director for Research of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center – Branch of Tomsk National Research Medical Center. Dr. Petelina successfully defended her PhD thesis in cardiology in 2005.
Petelina Tatiana Ivanovna is an author of over 200 research papers, an owner of 4 patents on invention, 1 databases, 1 software program, which received state registration. Her scientific interest is studying of fundamental aspects of arterial hypertension pathogenesis, metabolic syndrome and coronary artery disease using immunoenzyme and molecular genetic research methods, development and implementation of new algorithms and methods of personalized diagnostics and treatment at stages of the cardiovascular continuum.
Petelina T.I. was awarded a Certificate of Merit and Letter of appreciation of Healthcare Department of Tyumen region for many years of conscientious and impeccable work in the field of medical science and health care, for a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Tyumen Region (2005, 2011), Certificate of Honor from the Tyumen region Duma (2006), Certificate of Merit from the Department of Education and Science of the Tyumen region (2007), Certificate of Honor from the Tyumen Administration (2009), Certificate of Merit of Russian Academy of Sciences (2017). In 2019, she was awarded the Honorary Title "Honored Veteran of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences".
