Ivan S. Bessonov graduated with award from the General Medicine Faculty of the Tyumen State Medical Academy (2007), PhD (2013). Graduated from Internship training in surgery (2008), Internship training in internal medicine (medical faculty) (2009), Graduate school of medical education (2012), Internship training in endovascular diagnostics and treatment (2014). In 2013, he defended his PhD thesis in Cardiology.
He took up the position of Laboratory Research Assistant (2003), Scientific researcher (2016) of the Laboratory of Instrumental diagnostics in Tyumen Cardiology Research Center - a branch of Tomsk National Research Medical Center. Since 2009, Ivan S. Bessonov worked as a surgeon, then interventional cardiologist (2014) of Department of X-Ray Endovascular Diagnostics & Treatment #1. Head of Interventional Cardiology Laboratory (2018).
Interventional cardiology. The main scientific researches of I.S. Bessonov are related to development and introduction and optimization of up-to-date approaches on X-ray endovascular treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome, study and optimization of approaches on percutaneous coronary interventions in patients with complex coronary lesions of coronary bed, including the use of intravascular imaging methods, development of software and mathematical models of decision making at diagnostic and therapeutic X-ray endovascular treatment.
Author of more than 100 publications, 2 patents for inventions, 4 databases, 1 software program. Member of the Russian and European Society of Cardiology and European Association for Percutaneous Coronary Interventions.
