This year more than 60 specialists from 5 countries of the world have presented the lectures on genetics, rheumatology, arrhythmology, urgent and children's cardiology, cardiovascular interventions, ultrasound studies and other topical issues.
More than 780 participants fr om 5 countries, 28 cities and 16 settlements of Russia took part in the Congress. An online broadcast of the Congress sessions was organized, with more than 500 site visitors registered. In total, taking into account the Abstract Book, representatives of 8 countries participated in the congress. Abstracts Book contains 125 papers from 22 Russian cities, 2 cities of Kazakhstan (Tashkent, Astana), 2 Ukrainian cities (Kharkov, Lugansk) 2 cities of Uzbekistan (Namangan, Urgench) and 3 cities of Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Grodno, Gomel).
The Days of Belarusian Cardiology in Russia were brilliantly held within the Congress, and Workshop on Cardiac Surgery of Academician Yuriy P. Ostrovskiy was a highlight of the Congress.
During the Congress period 12 Symposia were organized (International Satellite Symposium “How Optical Coherence Tomography Can Change the Practice of Percutaneous Coronary Interventions?”, “International Symposium on Heart Arrhythmias”, “Symposium on Genetics”, “International Symposium on Echocardiography, Vascular Ultrasound And Functional Diagnostics”, Symposium “Mathematical Models in Cardiology”, Symposium “Multidisciplinary Approach to Cardiac Patient Treatment”, Symposium “Differential Diagnosis of Syncopal Conditions in Children”, “Fractional Flow Reserve is not a Method of Scientific Knowledge but Daily Utility Tool”, Symposium “Current Safety Issues of Anticoagulant Therapy in Various Clinical Cases”, “Symposium and Workshops “ Up-to-date Problems of Blood Vessels Ultrasound Diagnostics”, “Symposium “Clinical Aspects of Cardiovascular Pathology”) wh ere 66 oral presentations were delivered.
Moreover, 4 workshops were held for physicians. Dr. Dirk Bastian from Germany held international workshop “Tips & tricks” for HIS Pacing”. Workshops of Barnaul colleagues “Technique of surgical treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities by radiofrequency obliteration”, “Algorithm of duplex veins scanning of lower extremities before surgical treatment of varicose disease” were of great interest to the participants.
The Congress received accreditation in the system of continuous medical education (17 CME credits).
The work of the Congress was widely covered in the mass media (radio, TV, electronic and printed editions) in Moscow, Tyumen, the south of Tyumen region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and adjacent regions: Sverdlovsk, Omsk, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk and so on.
