More than 500 specialists in the field of cardiology, oncology, mental health, pharmacology, therapy, X-ray endovascular diagnostics and treatment, ultrasound and functional diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics, representatives of higher education institutions from 7 countries (Russia, Belgium, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Czech Republic) took part in the Congress. In total, representatives of 10 countries, in addition: Belarus, Germany and Ukraine (in Abstract book) participated in the preparation of the Congress. An online broadcast of the Congress sessions was organized, registered more than 300 site visitors.
Professor Jaroslaw Kasprzak, Head of Chair and Department of Cardiology at Medical University of Lodz, Editor-in-Chief of Polish Journal of Cardiology (Poland), Professor Ioan Mircea Coman, Head of Department of Cardiovascular Diseases, Institute of Cardiology, Fundeni Hospital (Romania), Professor Josef Kautzner, Head of the Department of Cardiology, Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (Czech Republic), Dr. Tatiana Kuznetsova, Associate Professor at Research Unit Hypertension and Cardiovascular Epidemiology, University of Leuven (Belgium) and others told about the latest achievements of the foreign cardiology.
More than 100 presentations were devoted to such up-to-date issues as ultrasound diagnostics, congenital heart disorders, sudden death in children and sport, hi-tech treatment, efficiency of the modern medications, genetics update and so on. The forum included 1 Plenary Session, 11 Symposia («Modern Approaches to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease», International Symposium of Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound, «Cardiological Problems in Oncology», «Genetics of Cardiovascular Disease», International Symposium of Heart Arrhythmias, «Modern Personalized Therapy for High Cardiovascular Risk Patients», «Sudden Death in Children», «Clinical Pharmacology in Cardiology», «New in Cardiology», «Traditions and Innovations in Treatment of Arterial Hypertension», «Psychosocial Risk Factors in Cardiac Practice»), Workshops on Holter Monitoring and «Atrial Fibrillation: the Chess Games, Playing Strategy». 42 poster presentations participated in the Poster Session Competition. Besides, Young Investigators Competitions was held.
The Congress received accreditation in the system of continuous medical education (12 credits).
Abstracts Book containing 228 works was published. The work of the Congress was widely covered in the mass media.
