Within 27-29 February, XIV International congress “Cardiostim-2020” is taking place. It is one of the key cardiological events in Russia, where annually more than 1400 experts from all over the world discuss modern approaches and fields in arrhythmias diagnostics and treatment.
Delegation of Tyumen doctors takes part in the Forum every year and delivers the oral and poster presentations. This year the leading scientific researchers of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center presented the following studies: “Atrial fibrillation in CAD patients is connected with the coronary bed lesion” (Yaroslavskaya E.I., Kuznetsov V.A., Gorbatenko E.A., Marinskikh L.V.); “Predictors of the advanced fibrosis of left atrial in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation” (GIzatulina T.P., Martyanova L.U., Pavlov A.B., Shirokov N.E., Kolunin G.V., Belonogov D.V.); “Additional predictors of left atrial appendage thrombus in case of non-valvular atrial fibrillation” (Khorkova N.Yu., Gizatulina T.P., Belokurova A.V., Kharats V.E., Dubrovskaya E.N, Gorbatenko E.A.) in the symposium “Actual issues of cardiac rhythm disturbances diagnostics and treatment”.
Traditionally, experts pay the main attention to the issues of cardiac rhythm disturbances. Annually, about 300 thousand cases of arrhythmias which can lead to the sudden death are registered in Russia. Morbidity of atrial fibrillation and other dangerous situations is growing.
Dr. Dubrovskaya, MD, Arrhythmologist of the highest category of the Department of Surgical Treatment of Complex Heart Rhythm Disturbances and Pacing at Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, told: “Cardiovascular diseases including arrhythmia are the main reason of mortality in the world. Searching for the methods of their prevention, diagnostics and treatment is the priority area, admitted by professional medical community and the state. “Cardiostim” is special for a big amount of clinical cases and it helps in doing practice. Our team presented the results of the latest researches. For example, whether atrial fibrillation (the most widespread cardiac rhythm disturbance) can be connected with a certain localization of coronary bed lesions; or how to reveal the signs of heart geometry alterations which increase the risk of thrombosis in left atrium using mathematic or instrumental methods. Our experts’ presentations are always highly estimated and take an honorable place in the Forum scientific program. Today at Tyumen Cardiology Research Center we apply hi-tech methods equal to the world ones.”
At the congress the biggest companies demonstrated solutions and technologies for interventional cardiology and radiology. There were also symposia on diagnostics and treatment of cardiac rhythm disturbances and children cardiac conduction, control checkups of patients with the implanted devices, prevention of patients with high risk of a sudden cardiac death, new imaging functions, nursing in cardiology and arrhythmology, searching for efficient solutions in the implementation of technologies for treatment arrhythmia patients,et.al.
