Poster presentation was made by Tatiana I. Petelina, MD, PhD, Leading Scientific Researcher of Arterial Hypertension and Coronary Insufficiency Department, the Acting Head of the Laboratory of Clinical & Diagnostic and Molecular & Genetic Studies. She presented a teamwork research of our scientists titled “Non-specific inflammatory response parameters in the pathogenesis of vascular wall and bone remodeling in postmenopausal female patients with arterial hypertension”.
The data of fifty-three female patients from our medical center was processed. The results of the study showed that the increased levels of some non-specific inflammation markers in the context of changing sex hormones activity status could be part of pathogenesis combining the cardiovascular with bone complications in postmenopausal women with hypertension and osteoporosis.
More than 4000 delegates took part in the Congress, and this year there were submitted a record number of abstracts in the Congress’ history.
