The results of our research showed that the level of sex hormones in women during postmenopause is associated with the lesion of target organs and changing of blood vessels walls flexibility. In this period physiological and age-specific changes start, and diseases incidence rate grows. Having laboratory data, physicins can predict the type of possible cardiovascular complications, rank patients among high-risk group and correct their treatment. Another research of our specialists proved that increase of total cholesterol level in patients with arterial hypertension and abdominal obesity leads to the decrease of blood vessels walls flexibility, that is one of the reasons for heart diseases and other health problems.
