More than 10 thousand participants from all over the world were acquainted with the latest achievements in endovascular medicine, visited workshops of outstanding experts, and took training on innovative equipment.
Leading specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center Igor Zyryanov, MD, PhD, Head of Department of X-Ray and Surgery Methods of Diagnostics and Treatment №1, Ivan Bessonov, MD, Scientific Researcher, and Stanislav Sapozhnikov, an interventional cardiologist, had a poster presentation at the congress.
Moreover, Tyumen specialists presented a complicated clinical case: during stenting unopened stent has "slipped" from balloon and stayed inside the artery. “This situation is quite rare, but it may lead to serious complications. We suggested a method that can solve this problem. Not all specialists know how to deal with such complicacations. Of course, it requires high professional level. Our patients can be sure that we have all necessary skills and experience”- noted Ivan Bessonov.
The congress included workshops, broadcasts from operating rooms, demonstration of recent achievements in the field of medical robotics. Tyumen surgeons under the auspices of experts performed some stenting procedures on special simulators. The congress also presented capabilities of robots which may help doctors a lot in the future.
