VI All-Russian Congress on Arrhythmology

On 11-13 June 2015 Tyumen physicians delivered 9 lectures at the VI All-Russian Congress on Arrhythmology which was held in Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia, for the first time.

More than 1200 specialists in clinical electrophysiology, interventional and surgical arrhythmology from around the world got together at one of the biggest specialized forums this year. Amiran Revishvili, President of All-Russian scientific society of arrhythmology, Academician of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (RAMS) greeted the participants, «Amount of arrhythmology centers, clinics and departments in our country exceeded 100 and this number is increasing consistently every year. There is a rapid growth of interventions in cardiac arrhythmias. All-Russian scientific society of specialists in clinical electrophysiology, arrhythmology and cardiac pacing was created to unite all these aspects, whereas this Congress is a peak of it».
At the congress Prof. Vadim Kuznetsov informed his colleagues about application of cardiac resynchronization therapy in Tyumen, Prof. Alexander Rychkov, Deputy Director for scientific work, delivered lectures on managing patients with implanted cardioverter-defibrillators and using new coagulants during catheter interventions, Grigoriy Kolunin, Head of Department of X-ray and Surgery Methods of Diagnostics and Treatment №2, together with Vsevolod Kharats, Head of Department of Surgical Treatment of Complex Heart Rhythm Disturbances and Pacing, presented their results of hi-tech treatment of arrhythmia. A. Rychkov shared his impressions, «We take part in this event regularly and every time the forum gets better and better. This year leading specialists from Russia, Europe and America delivered their lectures. Arrhythmology by the way is a very dynamic branch of medicine, new methods are always under development. I am glad that our Cardiology Center keeps up with the best clinics of the world!»
