Congratulations with a new title

By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir V. Putin, Tatiana Yu. Gorbunova, MD, Head of the Department of Coronary Insufficiency, cardiologist of the higher category, has been awarded the title “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation” for her long-term conscientious work.


Tatiana Gorbunova graduated fr om Tyumen State Medical Institute in 1977. Working as a cardiologist in State Clinical Hospital No. 1 she became proficient in managing patients with myocardial infarction. Her next step was to complete residency in cardiology at National Cardiology Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. After the successful graduation Tatiana Yurievna started working as a Head of the Department of Emergency Cardiology at the newly founded «Tyumen Cardiology Center». She has been working here for more than 25 years, and since then she has become the specialist of higher category, at the same time getting a degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences (Ph.D.) in 2001.
Tatiana Yu. Gorbunova earned a reputation as a responsible leader. Her department is considered as one of the best in Tyumen Cardiology Center regarding the number of patients and the quality of medical care as well as the system of work organization along with staff recruitment and appointment. Doctor Gorbunova contributed a lot to application of modern methods of treatment and diagnosis in the department. It was precisely the Department of Coronary Insufficiency, wh ere new method of treatment of patients with the most complicated heart failure was introduced.
Tatiana Yu. Gorbunova feels interest in everything new and together with colleagues she takes part in all events held in Tyumen Cardiology Center: international conferences, meetings as well as actions aimed at preventing of cardiovascular diseases in the society. Not once Tatiana Yurievna has been awarded with Honorary Diplomas and Notes of Thanks by Cardiology Center and Administration of the city.
Physicians from other cities and regional clinics, postgraduate students and residents of Tyumen State Medical Academy annually follow the courses on the basis of her department. Doctor Gorbunova is highly respected and loved by her colleagues and patients. Her high moral principles, cordiality, care and attention to patients bring them relief. It is no wonder that having once been under charge of the doctor, patients always try to keep in contact with her. The doctor’s telephone keeps ringing day and night, and patients always get professional medical consultation.
Tatiana Gorbunova believes that the honorary title is not so much her merit as evaluation of the achievements of the specialists of the department in general. “My heart overflows with gratitude to people I work with, - she mentioned. My colleagues have always supported me in all my initiatives. Everything became possible only because of coherent work of the whole team. It was a spur for new victories and future achievements.”
