Cardiologists of Russia and Uzbekistan discuss innovative methods for treatment of heart diseases

The scientific and practical conference “New Era of High Technologies in Diagnostics and Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases” took place today in Tashkent. It was organized with support of the Health Care Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Leading scientists and cardiologists of Tashkent and Tyumen participated in the conference.


At the conference modern innovative techniques were discussed. Physicians from Tashkent and Tyumen shared their experience in using high-technology methods for treatment of coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and chronic heart failure. Cardiovascular diseases are still at the top of the list of most dangerous diseases and cause about 56% of deaths almost all over the world.
During the meeting some well-known specialists - Professor M.M. Zufarov, Deputy Director on science at V.V. Vakhidov Republican Specialized Center for Surgery, Professor V.A. Kuznetsov, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, and other scientists and clinicians from both Tashkent and Tyumen made oral presentations. The conference was attended by cardiologists and physicians of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It remains to be added that the first meeting of cardiologists of Tyumen and Tashkent took place at the 6th Congress of the Cardiology Association of Uzbekistan “Strategic Goals of Cardiologists and General Practitioners in Practical Reduction of Cardiovascular Morbidity and Mortality” held on October 28-29, 2010.
