Study project on "Prospective follow-up of patients with COVID-19 associated pneumonia" was selected for presentation at the largest cardiology congress in the world.
Elena Yaroslavskaya, MD, PhD, Leading Researcher, shared that Scientific Programs Department of the European Society of Cardiology sent their congratulations and thanked our scientific team for valuable contribution to the international stage of the Congress. She noticed that it was very high assessment for our scientists.
It should be mentioned that the Congress of the European Society of Cardiology is annually attended by a record number of experts from more than 210 countries. First of all, it is the largest scientific event in which our physicians and scientists take an active part. All investigations are designed to inspire cardiovascular professionals to provide their patients with the best possible treatment, examinations and care.
One should recall that, since July 2020, Tyumen Cardiology Research Center has been accepting patients discharged from mono-hospital after treatment. Team of 14 experts (cardiologists, pulmonologists, ophthalmologists, neurologists, psychotherapists, nephrologists and others) conducts a comprehensive examination for patients: measurement all kinds of blood components, ultrasound of the eye vessels and test with anxiety, stress and depression scores. The age of examined patients was from 19 to 84 years old.
Preliminary results were confirmed: scientists diagnosed various cardiovascular diseases in more than half of patients (52%).
Elena Ilinichna said, that degeneration of already existing cardiovascular pathology was registered, therefore, patients after suffering coronavirus needed to be under the care of cardiologist in order to modulate aggravated disorders and live normal active life.
Our research is unique example of cooperation between highly qualified specialists from various medical institutions. This is a guarantee of the high quality not only of the care received by patients, but also of the data collected for science.
This year, the Congress of the European Society of Cardiology will be held on August 27-30 on digital interactive platform, which will allow participants to communicate more, share experiences, learn from international experts.
