Research workshop on cardiology invites students

Research is not only the most important form of educational process, but also one of the techniques of personnel policy of our Research Center. For us, as a research institute, this is an important way to identify and support talented young researchers, to promote their professionalism.

Tatiana Ivanovna Petelina, MD, PhD, Deputy director for Research shared, that in the process of research, students not only enlarge creative thinking, develop the ability to analyze results, but also acquire practical skills. This creates even greater interest in the chosen specialty. To her mind, our student research workshop is a voluntary association of medical students. Its goal was to improve efficiency of studies, to help in independent creative and scientific activities, taking into account modern trends in the development of continuing medical education system, to form claim for solving urgent scientific problems of profession. Deputy director for Research considered the students as wonderful, open-minded, initiative, high-potential guys who had already set to work. A bright future awaits them! She mentioned our center was ready to help with everything they need.

As part of the organizational event, there was a presentation of Young Scientists Council our center, discussion with participants of the meeting, a lecture on methods of conducting scientific research. At the next meeting, it was planned to start the cycle named: ‘Introduction to Cardiology’. It was known that students would be introduced to the most famous cardiological societies, a report on ‘What are clinical guidelines and how to work with them’ and moreover interactive game on familiarity of cardiovascular system anatomy was planned to be conducted. 10 meetings scheduled throughout the year.
