Alina Valeeva, research assistant of Emergency Cardiology Department of scientific division of clinical cardiology department, Deputy Chairman of the Council of young scientists, participated in the opening of the Week of Youth Science.
She shared: “I was a speaker and told the participants about my way to cardiology, my experience in scientific work, examination of our patients after covid in the format of TEDtalks”.

Anastasia Shcherbinina, research assistant of the laboratory of clinical, diagnostics, molecular and genetic researches, reported in Saint Petersburg at the XXVIII All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists "Actual Problems of Biomedicine - 2022" which was held in online format.

She took part in the section online meeting on actual issues in clinical pathophysiology and gave a presentation “Prospective analysis and association of laboratory and instrumental values in patients with cardiovascular diseases after coronavirus in groups with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus”.

“We conducted prospective analysis of biomarkers and separate instrumental parameters in patients with cardiovascular diseases after Covid-19 - associated pneumonia in groups with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus; we stated the correlation of parameters and highlighted indicators of long unfavorable cardiovascular events. In the studied groups we performed: laboratory researches, studies of elastic parameters of the vascular wall by sphygmography, - the scientist described.

We noted that in groups of cardiovascular patients, which differ only in the presence of diabetes mellitus, it is clearly seen that the presence of a comorbid condition can aggravate the course of the underlying disease in conditions of covid pneumonia due to more significant changes in blood parameters, exceeding the parameters of vascular stiffness wall and myocardial apical strain. The obtained correlations between biomarkers and these instrumental parameters can partially explain the pathophysiological mechanisms of the progression of individual clinical complications in the post-COVID period.

I want to note that the conference was amazing. I was able to listen to a very interesting and informative plenary lecture "Erythrocytes in normal and pathological conditions: new possibilities for assessing the morpho-functional state of erythrocytes and their correction by laser interference microscopy." The conference participants were young scientists from all over Russia, who presented relevant scientific reports. I am grateful to all participants of covid program from Tyumen Cardiology Research Center for the possibility to use the received results in my report. The work was awarded the third prize in the symposium!”

We can note the participation of Irina Okulova and Arina Rodionova, young research assistants, students of Tyumen State Medical University, in the section of cardiology and cardiac surgery at the premises of the Regional clinical hospital #1.
«I presented the results of the research conducted at the premises of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center “Modeling impact of cardiac resynchronization on the sex hormones level and their association with 10-year survival of males with chronic heart failure”. Our work was actual and hard to prove, that is why the last part of my presentation with questions from the audience was the most exciting. All the presented reports had great practical importance, it was very interesting to listen to the colleagues who showed us the results of their work and the chairpersons with their useful critics and motivation words”.

Irina Okulova presented a report “Possible mechanisms of comparable 10-year survival of responders and nonprogressers of cardiac resynchronization therapy”.

Irina and Arina won the second and third prizes honorable replying to all the questions. Tatiana Nikolaevna Enina, MD, PhD, Leading Scientific Researcher of the Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics, Cardiologist of the Department of Coronary Insufficiency, Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, congratulated them as their research supervisor.

We join it and congratulate our colleagues with the honorable results. We wish them the further success for the welfare and life of people!
