Our chess players-cardiologists took first place in team event!

The Spartakiad was an encouragement for healthcare workers to fight the coronavirus. The winning place was brought to the team by our specialists: Oleg Tuzmukhametov, MD, cardiologist; Elena Samoylova, MD, cardiologist; Nuria Kamalova, MD, doctor of functional diagnostics.

Oleg Khavievich shared that he had played chess all his childhood. He finished playing in top league with the 1st category, participated in festivals and competitions. Then he didn’t play for a long time, but he taught children a little. And last week, for the first time in 15 years, he played himself. The opponents were fine but the tournament is amateur, so it was not difficult. He played Russian defense by and large.  Dr. Tuzmukhametov said that he enjoyed remembering his previous chess experience. He met his former opponents and got a lot of fun!

As for Elena Petrovna, for example, she often plays with her family and uses her smartphone application. She shared that the victory was unexpected, but very pleasant.
