Physician with the capital letter P

That time, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons of hospitals were mentioned in their significant contribution to saving patients for keeping lives of patients with acute forms of coronary artery disease. Irina Viktorovna Nevidimova, our physician from Department of Urgent Cardiology was among laureates.

The winners were selected by expert committee based on several criteria, including number of cases of healthcare, rendering to patients with heart diseases and compliance with clinical guidelines and standards of treatment.

In 2021, about 1 million people in Russia died due to complications of circulatory system diseases; moreover 54.4% of them had coronary artery disease. In almost half of patients with CAD, the first symptom by which they learn about the disease onset was myocardial infarction. Saving the lives of such patients is not even counted by hours: it is literally about minutes. Therefore, the winners were cardiac surgeons who restore blood supply to the heart, cure consequences of ischemia, reduce the likelihood of complications, and cardiologists who were responsible for monitoring and medical treatment of patients after heart attack and cardiac surgery.

It should be mentioned that as well as Irina Viktorovna, three of eight laureates of the award were former employees and students of our Center and who began their professional career here: Semukhin Mikhail Vitalievich (he was working in our center for 26 years, of which 19 - in Department of X-Ray Endovascular Diagnostics and Treatment # 1; now he works in "Mother and Child" center), Gleb Alexandrovich Struihin (he was working in our Center in Intensive Care Unit for more than 5 years, now he is a cardiologist and the Head of Department in Tyumen Region Hospital No. 1), Skvortsova Tatyana Alexandrovna (she was anesthesiologist-resuscitator of resuscitation of our Center for about 8 years, now she works as anesthesiologist-resuscitator in Tyumen Region Hospital No. 1).

By and large, in 2022, 118 cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from 13 regions and many hospitals of Russia were received “Physician with the capital letter P” reward.
