The first day of the XIII International Congress “Cardiology at the Crossroads of Sciences” has started

At the time of opening, registered number of in-person attendees reached 200 people. More than 700 participants were following the Congress online.

Marina Igorevna Bessonova, the director of our Center, Honored Physician of the Russian Federation, said that our International Congress had been taking place in winter for the first time. That was due to the fact that our center had let regional Congress of Russian Society of Cardiology have our venue in spring. Nevertheless, she had positiveness that winter frosts would not affect the warmth of the hearts of participants, who in recent years had met again in person. Our director shared that up-to-date Russian recommendations adopted by National Congress of Cardiologists would be presented, and foreign experts would talk about scientific achievements.

Many issues will be devoted to current digital methods in cardiology and artificial intelligence; topics related to heart rhythm disturbances and acute myocardial infarction will be traditionally discussed; large section will be devoted to pediatric cardiology and especially the participation of children in high-performance sports. Of course, the platform always brings together not only scientific schools, but also practical physicians, where they receive the most concentrated recommendations in simple and accessible form. All those, as Marina Bessonova mentioned, of course, would contribute to development of cardiology in Russian Federation and, first of all, in our region. She reminded also that our center had many achievements, but we always talked a bit modestly about them. Alexey Nemkov, Deputy Director of Healthcare Department of Tyumen Region shared that digital transformation of our Healthcare was brilliant; our schools on myocardial infarction and arterial hypertension were popularly accepted schools in Russia and abroad. He also mentioned uniqueness of our Congress in his welcoming speech.

Alexey Nemkov emphasized that it was difficult to overestimate the role of that event. In addition to technology and equipment, of course, professionals, our specialists, were of decisive importance. They must have had recent knowledge. Moreover, he shared that quality of medical care depended on promptness and rightness. He declared that Congress combined approaches to different stages of medical care, not only practical components were taken into account, but also great scientific opportunities. These were uniqueness of the Congress!
