On April 10, 2019 our experts will organize a mobile scientific – practical conference “Cardiology-achievements and perspectives” for cardiologists and therapists of Nadym (the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area).
The event will start at 1:30 p.m. at Nadym City General Hospital. Tyumen specialists will make participants acquainted with latest achievements of Russian and foreign cardiology, share the points of view concerning issues of up-to-date diagnostics, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, discuss management problems of complex patients.
Liudmila Gapon, MD, PhD, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, National Expert on Arterial Hypertension, Head of Scientific Division of Clinical Cardiology will talk over Arterial Hypertension Guidelines 2018 of the European Society of Hypertension with colleagues. She will also deliver the information about new tactics of patients’ management and individual selection of antihypertensive therapy. Nowadays the main start criteria reducing the blood pressure is considered as not the patient` arterial blood pressure, but as particular risk-group specificity. The therapy begins immediately at high risk, but at low risk - hypertensive therapy foreruns the non-pharmacological therapy, that is changing of lifestyle and habits.
Natalia Musikhina, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Emergency Cardiology of Scientific Division of Clinical Cardiology will make a report “Antithrombotic therapy at different types of coronary artery disease”. Antithrombotic medications have a several classes. Each of these classes is oriented to special mechanism of thrombosis. To understand when and why we do need a particular drug, it is necessary to analyze how thrombus formation has occurred. Physicians explain that thrombus formation itself is an ordinary process, required to reduce a degree of blood loss at traumatic vessel injury. However, when thrombi begin to appear in several places or occur even without traumatic injury, they become the cause of severe disturbances.
Natalya Y. Khorkova, MD, PhD, Cardiologist, Scientific Researcher of the Department of Surgical Treatment of Complex Heart Rhythm Disturbances and Pacing will deliver one more up-to-date lecture. She will tell about modern therapy at an atrial fibrillation - the most common cardiac arrhythmia, which occurs more frequently and associated with high mortality, risk of stroke, heart failure, deterioration in patients’ quality of life.
In the recent years, achievements in curing have been registered in patients with this arrhythmia type. The greater part of them is related to improvement of anticoagulating therapy (treatment directed towards slow the thrombus formation process) which effectively and safely reduces a complications risk and makes better patients’ forecast.
