Pupils of 9th, 10th and 11th specialized classes fr om schools of Nadym, Pangoda, New Urengoy came to Tyumen for the detailed acquaintance with profession of physician. More than 70 pupils visited Tyumen State Medical University and our Cardiology Research Center during that retreat. The visit program consisted of introduction to Medical University Chairs, Medical University Museum, Student scientific community, going to Practical Skills Training Center, classes in Chemistry, Biology and Latin and also intellectual games, meetings of University administration, students and physicians. A very important agenda was visiting one of the biggest scientific curative-education institution – our Cardiology Research Center. Olga V. Senatorova, our Junior Scientific Researcher, made an introductory presentation, where she mentioned that Cardiology Research Center successfully coupled medical practice with scientific researches. She told also about modern methods of cardiovascular diseases treatment, about international cooperation, a large amount of scientific researches and regular trainings. “We have a lot of opportunities for self-fulfillment, young specialists are involved in development of new diagnostics methods and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, our specialists present their achievements at scientific conferences in Russia and abroad, receive training at the biggest hospitals all over the world“. Vocation-oriented education is carried out in collaboration with Tyumen State Medical University.
“Delegation members are the pupils of specialized classes in Chemistry and Biology, of 9th 10th and 11th grades from YNAA, - explained Arthur V. Margaryan, the Head of the Pre-university education Department of Tyumen State Medical University – They came to get acquainted to the University and leading medical institutions of Tyumen and Tyumen region. The future students applying for our University are interested in the best opportunities wh ere to learn medical science. Collaborative program has been initiated between Tyumen State Medical University and different medical institutions of our city and had a long history. The amount of members is rising from year to year. Such vocation-oriented activities help future students to choose the university. We used to meet first year students attended our university excursions. Tyumen Cardiology Research Center is one of the innovative practice institution Tyumen State Medical University worked with. High technologies have been developing here for more than 30 years. We decided to inform pupils about new achievements particularly in cardiology.”
There was an excursion around our research center for those who are planning to be a physician. The future students were showed Divisions of the center, modern operating rooms, Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory, Department of Ultrasound Diagnostics and Functional Diagnostics Department. One of the pupils said: “I know now that physicians work together with scientists to cure more effectively. We were showed how cardiac researches are carried out, we were told about laparoscopic surgery and precise modern equipment for it. I think that Tyumen Cardiology Research Center is one of the best medical centers in Russia. I am very fond of medical science and I will continue to learn more about it.”
