Congress of European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA-2018) took place on 18-20 March in Barcelona (Spain). It is a leading European conference where participants discuss basic and clinical researches on heart rhythm disturbance and associate diseases (chronic heart failure, thromboembolic stroke etc.). Nikita Shirokov, scientific researcher of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, presented his report during poster session within the Congress.

“It is the first Congress I participate in. Our research got high assessment from the organizers and they confirmed our participation,” says the young scientist. “We worked on evaluation of mechanical dyssinchrony (note: intraventricular and interventricular segments contraction delay) which is one of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) superresponse prediction factors. Other scientists were really interested in our investigation, and it is no surprise: implantable devices parameters optimization is an urgent scientific problem,” said the young scientist.
