On 25-27 January an International Cardiovascular Course AsiaPCR/SingLIVE 2018 took place in Singapore. Stanislav Sapozhnikov, an interventional cardiologist of Department of X-ray and Surgery Methods of Diagnostics and Treatment №1 at Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, delivered an oral presentation at the Congress.
Doctor Sapozhnikov informed, “My presentation was scheduled on the 1st day of the Congress, it is very prestigious because the most important and up-to-date works are presented in the first place. The day was devoted to the treatment of patients with myocardial infarction. My session was “How would you treat in this case?” At the complicated clinical case I demonstrated extraction of the artery out of the stent which has shifted from the balloon during stenting. Nowadays there are no recommendations of dealing with such complications. That is why the consequence of actions is very useful worldwide. The case is extremely serious because there is not much time to make a decision. Our work was highly estimated by the chairmen; they even acknowledged us to use our method in their practice.”
More than 2000 specialists from various countries of the world participated in the event. The platform mission is to exchange knowledge, experience and practical skills in the interventional medicine. The program included scientific sessions, demonstration of the treatment methods applicable for the certain patients, practical advices of complications eliminations.
At the forum the 40 years of Angioplasty Exposition was demonstrated. Together with the stenting it is the “golden standard” in CAD treatment. Interventional cardiologists of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center were the first to use these methods in Russia about 30 years ago.
