From 23 October to 7 November Tyumen Cardiology Research Center admitted 16 Tyumen citizens with acute myocardial infarction and two of them were in a very severe condition. Cardiologists are sure that such critical situations can be avoided if you apply for the medical care on time.

One of the patients, Vladimir, a 77 year old man from Tyumen, suddenly felt weakness and intensive chest pain. He called an ambulance and was transported to the Admission Department of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, and then he was urgently operated. Vitaliy Chuvychelov, a cardiovascular surgeon, who performed an intervention, said: “We revealed that the artery providing left ventricle with blood was blocked with the clot from its outlet. In this case there are almost no chances for the favorable outcome. But due to quick application of the patient, well coordinated work of the ambulance and our staff we managed to restore blood flow in the heart vessels and prevent lethal outcome in half an hour already.”

This success is possible due to long-term experience of our specialists, modern equipment and materials. Vitaliy also added, “Our services work 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The clinic is equipped with the most up-to-date machines and consumables. It allows to perform the most complicated interventions on the heart vessels. Within a year apart from the planned interventions we perform also urgent ones in case of acute myocardial infarction to save patient’s life and its quality.”

Doctors also highlight that despite so much information in mass media about symptoms of myocardial infarction there are still patients who are doing self-treatment and live with severe pain for several days and do not ask for medical care. Disease outcome mostly depends on the quick application to the hospital. It is important to remember that severe chest pain (which may invade to left hand, shoulder, left side of the neck), shortness of breath, unmotivated fear are the first symptoms of myocardial infarction and you should immediately call the ambulance. Unstable condition with the same symptoms often anticipates acute myocardial infarction. Therefore doctors are asking to be more responsible about your health.
