On 3-4 October the first scientific and educational conference ‘Golden ring’ supported by the Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation took place in Vladimir. The main targets of the event were improvement of the physicians’ skills, implementation of modern diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
300 physicians, scientists and delegates from many regions of Russia participated in the conference. The leading cardiologists, physiologists, biophysicists and designers of the medical equipment were invited to this event. Two-day scientific program included 13 symposia, lectures, round tables and workshops. One of the symposia was organized by Tyumen Cardiology Research Center. Professor Vadim Kuznetsov, its Director, Honoured Scientists of the Russian Federation, was invited into the organizing committee; he also delivered a presentation ‘Percutaneous coronary interventions in the clinical practice’.Elena Yaroslavskaya, MD, PhD, an ultrasound diagnosis specialist, Seniour Scientific Researcher, informed the audience about creation of medical calculators of coronary atherosclerosis based on the Register of coronary angiography.
According to the general opinion, the conference had a high scientific and organizational level and will be held annually. Participants received diplomas about continuous postgraduate education; this fact shows importance of the event and its similarity with all-Russian congresses.
