27th European Meeting on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Protection was held in Milan (Italy) within 15-19 June. Scientists from Portugal, France, Greece, China, Australia, Spain, Sweden and other countries of the world participated in the Congress. Nina Shurkevich, MD, PhD, Senior Scientific Researcher, from Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, delivered her oral presentation «Prognostic significance of circadian rhythm disturbances of blood pressure in normotensive men engaged in monthly round-trip sojourns to the Arctic».
At the Congress 7 oral presentations were introduced by Russian specialists including Dr. Shurkevich lecture. She says, “This meeting is a unique opportunity to enlarge your knowledge, to present our Tyumen researches, to reveal aspects of prevention and treatment of hypertension in the Arctic. It is important that Russia had the first place for the amount of poster presentations – there were 178 of them.”
