Scientists and physicians of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center participated in the VII All-Russian Congress of Arrhythmia's which was held in Moscow on 1-3 June. The event was organized by The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, All-Russian scientific society of specialists on clinical electrophysiology, arrhythmology and pacing, Russian Society of Cardiology.
Professor Vadim Kuznetsov, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, was awarded a golden medal and a diploma «For merit and contribution to progress and strengthening of ties between specialists in clinical electrophysiology, arrhythmology and pacing in Russian Federation and abroad». At the Congress Professor Vadim Kuznetsov was a chairperson of three scientific sessions.
This year more than 200 specialists discussed new approaches and achievements in diagnostics and treatment of arrhythmias. Tyumen physicians successfully presented their scientific and clinical work in more than ten oral and poster presentations.
Vsevolod Kharats, Head of Department of Surgical Treatment of Complex Heart Rhythm Disturbances and Pacing of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, says, ‘My works were devoted to cryotechnologies and treatment of supraventricular tachycardia and implanted pacing systems. Lectures of our specialists are always very popular and useful. We discovered the presentation of James L. Cox, the founder of arrhythmia surgery from the USA, and doctor V. Fedorov working in America. They have an enormous experience and they are standing in the front of the world science. Works of Russian specialists go along with them.’
Grigoriy Kolunin, MD, PhD, Head of Department of X-ray and Surgery Methods of Diagnostics and Treatment №2, delivered presentations about cryotechnologies, cardiac resynchronization therapy and mapping navigation systems. ‘Nowadays interventional cardiology has a rapid progress in the world. It is necessary to keep abreast of the innovations and here, in Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, it is quite possible as we have a possibility to take part in the world famous events. Due to the progress of IT systems we can exchange our experience with our foreign colleagues and receive new knowledge from them,’ he says. Also, Aleksandr Rychkov, MD, PhD, Deputy Director of Science at Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, presented a lecture on anticoagulant therapy, Tatiana Enina, MD, PhD, Senior Scientific Researcher at the Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, delivered a presentation on cardiac resynchronization therapy. A special interest was raised by the lecture of Anna Soldatova, MD, Scientific Researcher of Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics from Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, about prognosis of super-response of patients with congestive heart failure to cardiac resynchronization therapy. She was awarded with a medal and a diploma for the third place in a poster presentations competition.
