On December, 10 within the congress a discussion "Criteria of selecting patients for cardiac resynchronization therapy of European recommendations for diagnosis and treatment of acute and congestive heart failure 2016: pros and cons." (chairpersons were Y. Lopatin, MD, PhD; D. Duplyakov, MD, PhD; E. Gupalo, MD).

Young scientists from Tomsk and Tyumen - D. Lebedev, MD, and A. Soldatova, MD, Scientific Researcher, took part in the congress. Anna Soldatova said, "Today a huge experience in diagnosis and treatment of CHF patients gathered in Tyumen Cardiology Research Center and Tomsk Cardiology Research Institute. At the congress I presented a report devoted to controversial issues and application of echocardiography in selection of patients for resynchronization therapy and Denis Lebedev, my colleague from Tomsk, presented several complex medial cases. We think that individual and complex treatment methods are essential for patients with heart failure. We believe that these principles should underpin recommendations. According to the participants, the discussion was very lively and interesting, this kind of an experience exchange, of course, allows us jointly find new effective solutions of scientific and medical tasks."

Another important part of the congress was the first scientific and educational event of SEHF working group on cardiooncology. Issues of cardiotoxicity due to the anticancer treatment receive more and more attention in the world. Also such problem is important for our country as well. For the first time audience had an opportunity to gain knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of heart and vessels lesions in anticancer therapy. All theoretical issues were illustrated by real medical cases.
