Tyumen cardiologists are on the edge of national research work

Now one institution allied various specialists from the fields of oncology, cardiology, genetics, pharmacology, psychiatry, obstetrics & gynaecology and also functional, ultrasound and X-ray diagnostics. The project was initiated by Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations and RAMS and was approved by the government of the Russian Federation in 2015. Totally potential of the new center amounts to 3000 people, 58 scientific divisions and 7 clinics.

Evgeny Choynzonov MD, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the newly created Research Center, highlighted that such integration of scientific potential will allow to perform complex researches from the gene level to man behavior, to raise scientometrical values (amount of articles in the foreign publications is planned to increase from 301 in 2016 up to 342 in 2020), amount of patents, grants, thesis, implemented innovations. He pointed out, «Russian science will be presented in a different way at the international platform». Generally, efforts of physicians and scientists will be aimed at the reduction of death rate and increase of people life span.

Marina Bessonova, temporary acting Director of Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, said: «It is a significant event for us. Being a part of the Russian greatest research center is a big honor and responsibility. We do not change the principles of our work – we will keep doing research work, providing medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, implementing preventing programs. We have many inventions and designs perfectly known not only in Russia, but also abroad. However, we have to enlarge the research work volume in cooperation with our colleagues from Tomsk, applied studies in particular. They should be turned into new diagnostics and treatment, technologies which will be used in the real practice. Besides, we are going to reinforce our position in the foreign science». Status of one of the largest in Russia research medical institutions will give the ground to attract investors to new projects. According to Siberian branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, extra financing for implementation of the projects will be provided. And one of its sources is commercialization of already created innovations such as non-contact individual cardioanalyzer «ECG-express», device for closing of left atrial appendage for heart attacks prevention, vessel stents of new generation, a set for analyzing of maternal-feto heart rhythms, etc. The work in these and other fields will be held in cooperation with the leading medical, technical and classic institutions and also with European and American research institutions.

Working plan of National Medical Research Center is filled up to 2020 already.
