A poster of Georgiy Pushkarev, MD, a specialist of ultrasound diagnostics, Scientific Researcher of Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics from Tyumen Cardiology Center, was estimated as the best scientific work presented for the poster session at the ESC Congress. The International Forum is one of the greatest scientific events in medicine and this year it will be held on 27-31 August in Rome, Italy. Having high scientific value, the poster of Pushkarev together with other best researches will be broadcasted on multimedia screens during the Congress.
According to Pushkarev, his research is devoted to the study of psychological and social risk factors in patients with coronary artery disease after percutaneous coronary interventions. The doctor says, “We have analyzed more than 1000 patients with ischemia, who had coronary stenting. We observed them during a year and we stated that low income and social support are important and independent factors increasing death risk within the first year after intervention.” Besides, Expert Committee of ESC Congress has selected work of Anna Soldatova, MD, Scientific Researcher of Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics of Tyumen Cardiology Center.
She explains, “This is our new research and its practical value lies in our will to improve patient selection for cardiac resynchronization therapy and consequently to raise efficiency of this procedure. Technology gives us an opportunity to prolong lives of severe patients whose only chance several years ago was the most complicated heart transplantation.” We wish new scientific inventions and achievements to our young scientists!
