A summit on transcatheter cardiovascular therapy and angioplasty was conducted on 26-29 April in Seoul (Republic of Korea). «TCTAP-2016» is an annual Asia summit which unites thousands of scientists, physicians and specialists of allied specialties from all around the world. The main targets of the event: review the latest basic and clinical investigations to guide how to manage optimally the patients with vascular or structural heart disease; unite the newest interventional techniques and devices for treatment of patients with vessels and heart diseases; create an optimal treatment to various patients in clinical practice.
Ivan Bessonov, MD, an interventional cardiologist of Tyumen Cardiology Center, delivered an oral presentation on new concept of percutaneous coronary interventions in patients with acute myocardial infarction. He says, «We have analyzed 1000 interventions performed at Tyumen Cardiology Center. Then compared 2 methods and revealed the one which is more efficient. The audience did not expect this result and addressed to us a lot of questions. Our approach to operational interventions in patients with acute myocardial syndrome appeared to be innovative. My performance was a positive discussion. In general, the Summit was very educational and informative. All endovascular methods were under discussion and some real clinical cases were broadcasted directly from the operation units. Participation in this summit gives a unique opportunity to get introduced to a variety of patients’ treatment presented by specialists from all around the world and to discuss it with world-known experts.»
