In the end of March V International Forum of Cardiology and Internal Medicine took place in Moscow. It is a great scientific and educational event supported by the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, it gathers around 3000 faculties from Russia, Europe and the USA. Scientific program traditionally includes presentations of the leading specialists in cardiology, interventional cardiology, neurology, endocrinology and other fields of medicine. In his welcome word Rafael Oganov, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the forum, highlighted that educational scientific conferences, meeting of the leading experts and specialists, knowledge and technology exchange are the main parts of the fighting heart diseases and comorbidities.
Physicians and scientists of Tyumen Cardiology Center performed a huge work to get prepared to the forum and have presented the results. Ekaterina Akimova, MD, PhD, Head of Laboratory of Epidemiology and Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease at Tyumen Cardiology Center, was one of the chairmen of symposium «Risk factors and clinical conditions are links of one chain» and delivered her presentation «Associations of the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases with a high level of depression in the open population of an average urbanized Siberian town». Georgiy Pushkarev, MD, PhD, Scientific Researcher of Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics at Tyumen Cardiology Center, delivered his presentation «Interconnection of congestive heart failure with social support in patients after coronary stenting». Also Tyumen specialists prepared poster presentations for poster sessions.
