Today a conference devoted to an International Perioperative Nursing Day, took place at Tyumen Cardiology Center. This date was officially established in 2006 and since that time great events happen to attract attention of the society to the work of perioperative nurses.
Experts from Moscow and about 200 specialists from medical facilities of Tyumen and the Tyumen region took part in the conference. Organizers are Department of Healthcare of Tyumen region, Tyumen Regional Nurses Organization and Tyumen Cardiology Center.
Issues on the agenda: “Faults caused by safety rules violation in the operation unit”, “Corporate etiquette at the operation unit”, “Cleaning norms and regulations”, etc. Head of perioperative nurses at Tyumen Cardiology Center is Svetlana Duryagina. She says, “I have been working at the operational unit during 7 years already. We save people’s lives every day altogether. These are not simply words. Not a single operation, or research can be performed without nurses. Much depends on our work as well as on a physician’s work. Nurses have a 24-hour working day, they even go for emergency cases at night.”
Despite all difficulties our nurses confess that their work brings joy to them, because every day they are involved in a graceful labor of saving people’s lives.
