Within 1 – 11 January 39 Tyumen citizens with acute myocardial infarction were delivered to the Admission Department of Tyumen Cardiology Center. It is twice more than at the same period last year. 10 people asked for cardiology help on their own complaining of getting unwell abruptly.
Elena Shumeiko, MD, Head of the Admission Department, said, “All heavy patients received emergency care; hi-tech interventions, such as balloon angioplasty and stenting, were carried out. Our interventional cardiologists perform these operations 24 hours a day.”
Tyumen citizens who applied for help on their own had complaints of high blood pressure, heartbeat, dizziness, nausea, weakness, etc. Alcohol overuse and poor weather conditions (low temperature and high atmosphere pressure is difficult to bear for hypertensive people) are reasons of feeling unwell. Cardiologists also state that health problems are caused due to refusals to take drugs. It is necessary to take all prescribed medications for treatment of blood pressure and various cardiovascular diseases all year round. It is proved that efficiency of drug therapy is directly connected with the following of physician’s prescriptions.
During New Year holidays around 200 adults and 60 children have passed diagnostics at the Outpatient Department, where cardiologists, specialists of ultrasound and functional diagnostics were working, as well as Clinical and Diagnostic Laboratory.
