The President of Russia Vladimir Putin declared 2015 the National Year of Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases. This year was significant for the staff of Tyumen Cardiology Center due to the following important events: 30th anniversary of opening of the Center and the VI International Congress “Cardiology at the Crossroad of Sciences”.

CLINIC
• In 2015 around 9000 people received in-patient treatment at Tyumen Cardiology Center.• More than 3000 hi-tech interventions were performed in patients with coronary artery disease, arrhythmia and congestive heart failure.• Outpatient care was provided to 21 150 people (totally more than 50 000 consultations).

SCIENCE• Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center published 94 articles (including 79 in the peer-reviewed journals of national analytic base Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) and 18 were published in the journals of international analytic base Web of Science. Also 123 abstracts were published including 21 in the foreign editions and a part in a foreign monograph «Circadian Cardiology with Focus on Both Prevention and Intervention».

• Two patents on the invention of new diagnostic methods, two certificates on the state registration of programs for ECM, two certificates on registration of electronic database “Register of cross-sectional study of the Tyumen pupils on the risk factors of arterial hypertension”, “Register of Holter monitoring in patients after coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty”.

CONFERENCES• In 2015 our specialists took part in various Russian and international conferences (in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Tashkent, Nalchik, Madrid, London, Barcelona, Washington, Vienne, etc.) and made 162 oral and 34 poster presentations.• On 20-22 May Tyumen Cardiology Center held the VI International Congress “Cardiology at a Crossroad of Sciences” devoted to the 30th anniversary of Tyumen Cardiology Center and 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. The meeting gathered around 700 scientists and physicians from 14 countries and 37 cities of Russia. Outstanding scientists from USA, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, Latvia and other countries of the world delivered lectures. More than 50 lecturers took part in the Congress work; 226 abstracts were published.

• In March the 20th scientific conference “Innovations in medicine: interdisciplinary approach” took place in Tyumen Cardiology Center. Professor Markus Schlaich, Head of Hypertension & Kidney Disease Department from St. Vincent’s Hospital (Australia) and Elena Baranova, MD, PhD, Professor of Faculty Therapy Department (Saint Petersburg) shared the latest researches.• On 24-26 June the VI Congress of Cardiologists of Siberian Federal District «Translational cardiology is a way to progress» devoted to 35th anniversary of Tomsk Branch of Institute of Cardiology took place in Tomsk.• Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center organized 6 conferences in the south cities of the Tyumen region. Total amount of participants was about 300 people.

EVENT OF THE YEARStaff of Tyumen Cardiology Center took part in the ceremonial parade and national campaign “the Immortal Regiment”. People whose fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers were participants of tremendous events 1941-1945 were carrying portraits of their relatives along the central Tyumen streets.

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS• In April successful inventors and researchers of the region were awarded in Tyumen region government. Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center received certificate of gratitude for their activity in scientific and technical field and contribution to the growth of intellectual potential of the region.• At the XXI session of Academic meeting of the Tyumen region Viktor Todosiychuk, MD, PhD, Head of Department of Functional Diagnostics of Tyumen Cardiology Center was awarded with certificate of gratitude from the Governor of the Tyumen region for contribution into social and economical development of the region and long-term dedicated work. Elena Logunova, Head of Foreign Relations Department, was awarded with certificate of gratitude from the Tyumen Regional Duma for long-term dedicated work and high professionalism.

• Ivan Bessonov, MD, a cardiovascular surgeon of X-ray and endovascular diagnostics and treatment of Tyumen Cardiology Center, took an honorable 6th position in the list of the top outstanding young people of Tyumen.

• On 19 of May a solemn meeting devoted to 30th anniversary of Tyumen Cardiology Center was held. Representatives of the Tyumen region government, deputies, friends, partners and other honorable guests visited the event for congratulations. Natalia Shevchik, the First Deputy of Tyumen region Governor, wished new success to the staff of the Center and presented Prof. Vadim Kuznetsov, Honored Scientist of Russia, with an Honorable Certificate “For sufficient contribution into Tyumen region healthcare development, success in providing qualitative cardiac care and for 30th anniversary since the foundation of the Center.” At the ceremonial meeting more than 50 honored specialists of the Center were awarded with the certificates and letters of thanks.• On 14 August the ceremonial awarding of the winners of the XII annual regional competition “Pride of the Tyumen region - 2015” took place at the Tyumen region government. Anna Soldatova, MD, scientific researcher of Department of Instrumental Research Methods of Tyumen Cardiology Center, a chairman of young scientists of Tyumen Cardiology Center, was among young and talented specialists. She was a winner in category “Healthcare”.


CAMPAIGNSWithin 21-26 September an annual campaign Heart Week 2015 took place under the slogan "Do sports with healthy heart!" This year, cardiologists turned to parents whose children are starting or already involved in sports. The campaign team of pediatricians headed by Tatyana Chernysheva, MD, cardiologist of the highest category, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, chief pediatric cardiologist, Department of Health Administration of Tyumen, conducted a comprehensive survey of young athletes (a record electrocardiogram, echocardiographic examination and consultation with a specialist). 26 boys and girls aged 8-12, pupils of various Tyumen sports centers and schools (football, hockey, box, tennis, figure skating, gymnastics, etc.), were participants of the campaign.
