Totally scientists of Tyumen Cardiology Center have 21 registered patents. And this week cardiologists and programmers obtained a new patent for design and use of a unique diagnostic method. Using mathematical formula and results of biochemical blood test it allows to estimate condition of vessels of a patient with arterial hypertension and obesity. The aim of this invention is to create an alternative method to define degree of hardness of the vessel wall in patients with arterial hypertension and obesity using only biochemical analysis, i.e. without instrumental methods such as pulse wave velocity.

It is known that to prevent complications in patients with arterial hypertension early diagnostics of heart, brain, kidneys and vessels is highly important. “It is necessary because changes in heart and vessels are also a reason of disease progression”. Kseniya Avdeeva, a cardiologist, MD, one of the inventors of this method, says. “Vessels get injured in case of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, autoimmune diseases, atherosclerosis, etc. Conditions of arteries walls, their elastic features in particular, receive changes in the first place. These days more interest is paid to studies of hardness of the vessels wall as one of cardiovascular risks. Using the method of artificial neural network we can diagnose the vessels condition of a patient and make corrections in treatment in time. Thus it allows to prevent complications.” Scientists conducted several experiments showing high diagnostic accuracy in recognizing cardiovascular pathology. Realization of this method was suggested for practice as a simple and understandable computer program “Diagnostic calculator”.
