“Cardiology.15”, the III annual conference, devoted to the 40th anniversary of Emergency Cardiology Service at the Clinical Hospital of the Presidential Administration was held on October 9. This is the place where in 1970s rapid development of cardiology in Russia has started from.
At the conference world leading physicians and scientists discussed the latest achievements in medical care of patients with cardiovascular diseases, with acute myocardial infarction, in particular. Professor Vadim Kuznetsov, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, presented a lecture upon the status of emergency cardiology in the regions. Tyumen cardiologists have reached decrease of cardiovascular death rate due to percutaneous coronary interventions such as balloon angioplasty and coronary stenting which allow to provide quick and effective care to patients with acute myocardial infarction. Annually surgeons of Cardiology Center make around 300 of such interventions.
Physicians and scientists are sure that by 2030 amount of performed hi-tech interventions and quality of cardiac care in the region will reach the level of the developed countries.
