Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center took part in the VIII All-Russian forum-exhibition "Infotech-2015" that took place in Tyumen on September 9-10 and was organized by the Government of the Tyumen region. This year, the use of new computer technologies in medicine was discussed at the forum. Meetings were held with representatives from the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation and the Regional Healthcare.
Cardiology Center presented a multifunctional stand. Every visitor was able to measure blood pressure, to pass ultrasound, to learn other important indicators of the heart, and then determine the assessment of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases using a patented method. About 240 people have passed this examination within 2 days.
Elena Yaroslavskaya, MD, senior researcher of Laboratory of Instrumental Diagnostics, physician of ultrasound diagnostics, said, “Tyumen Cardiology Center has accumulated a large amount of data in electronic form, which gives an opportunity to lead research work to help in treatment, diagnostics and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Nowadays Tyumen Cardiology Center has 4 databases included into the national register. One of them, for example, is Register of coronary angiography. It has been started since 1991 and contains results of coronary angiographies and data of complex clinical examination of more than 21 000 patients. There are no analogues of such database in Russia. The accumulated material allows us to develop our own methods of diagnosing diseases. Up to now we have received 21 patents.”
Diachkov Sergey, specialist of the department of automated control systems, took part in the section «Information technologies in healthcare» and told a lot about the use of modern information and computer technologies in cardiology. It is important to know that this year more than 2 000 experts from 30 regions of the country were among the participants of the forum "Infotech".
