On 19 of May a solemn meeting devoted to 30th anniversary of Tyumen Cardiology Center was held. Honorable guests, colleagues and friends arrived for congratulations. They are representatives of Tyumen region government, Tyumen administration, Deputies of region and city Duma, Heads of medical facilities, high educational institutions, mass media and grateful patients. An emcee of the ceremony read the Tyumen region governor’s congratulations out loud. Natalia Shevchik, the First Deputy of Tyumen region Governor, wished new success to the staff of the Center and presented Prof. Vadim Kuznetsov, Honored Scientist of Russia, with an Honorable Certificate “For sufficient contribution into Tyumen region healthcare development, success in providing qualitative cardiac care and for 30th anniversary since the foundation of the Center.” At the ceremonial meeting more than 50 honored specialists of the Center were awarded with the certificates of Institute of Cardiology, Tyumen Region Duma, Tyumen Region Healthcare Department, Tyumen Administration, etc. Yuriy Shevtsov who has been undergoing treatment at the Center during 20 years applied to the physicians with gratitude, «In the Center you feel that you are going to live for sure.»
Vadim Kuznetsov told about the most important achievements in scientific, clinical and educational life of the Center and shared plans for the future, «Our main targets are to keep top level of medical care providing, to implement new methods and technologies and to accept a millionth patient in two years. » The founders of Tyumen Cardiology Center also congratulated its staff. Rostislav Karpov, Director of Institute of Cardiology, Academician, sent a videopresentation, Gennadiy Bogomyakov, a legendary person, having provided the possibility to establish the Center, found time to take part in the ceremony and describe the most interesting historical events. It is remarkable that Dr. Timothy Timko, Mount Carmel Clinical Cardiovascular Specialists, Interventional Cardiologist, Mount Carmel/Trinity Health System (Columbus, Ohio, USA), visited Tyumen for its anniversary. 20 years ago on the invitation of Vadim Kuznetsov Dr. Timko arrived to Cardiology Center and helped to implement transluminal balloon angioplasty. Thus, the Center started the era of interventional treatment allowing to provide efficient care to patients with coronary artery disease.
Colleagues and guests were presented with creative gifts such as musical opera performances, poems declaring and singing. In the conclusion to the accompaniment of the orchestra of Tyumen Military Institute a song about Tyumen Cardiology Center written for the anniversary by Vadim Kuznetsov was performed (with Viktor Todosiychuk as an adaptor).
