Ceremonial awarding of successful researchers and inventors of the region took place on April 24 in Tyumen region Government. The meeting was devoted to the celebration of World Intellectual Property Day which is officially held on April 26.
Award recipients were Heads of the leading universities, scientific institutes and factories and also residents of «West-Siberian innovation center». Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center were awarded with certificate of gratitude for their activity in scientific and technical field and contribution to the growth of intellectual potential of the region. Since its foundation Cardiology Center has been conducting intensive scientific and research work in order to design and apply into practice new medical technologies, more than 20 new types of diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. At the ceremony Oleg Zaruba, Deputy of the Governor of the Tyumen region, awarded a letter to Vadim Kuznetsov, Honored Scientist of Russia, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center.
Aleksey Sannikov, Chairman of Committee on Innovations in the Tyumen region, highlighted that labor and success of innovators is the foundation of innovative business which is well supported in the region.
Last year Tyumen scientists received 221 patents. Totally there were 289 applications for Russian patents on inventions, useful models and 196 were on trade and service marks.
