All over the world 7th of April is considered as the Health Day. This year World Health Organization (WHO) made a decision to draw attention to the most important issue of food products safety.

Nowadays experts say that thorough attention should be given to the sanitary standards in the entire chain of food production, starting from manufacturers and ending with sellers and consumers.

As a part of campaign “World Health Day” Tyumen Cardiology Center in conjunction with Tyumen Regional Nurses Association organized several meetings devoted to healthy lifestyle and healthy nutrition principles. Nina Shurkevich, MD, PhD, Leading Scientific Researcher, presented a lecture at a press-conference which took place in Tyumen Cardiology Center on April, 8. Elena Samoylova, a cardiologist of Department of Arterial Hypertension, held a meeting with patients of the Inpatient Department. Besides, all issues of World Health Day-2015 were discussed by the personnel at the internal meeting.

5 important principles of healthy nutrition according to WHO:
1. Following hygienic requirements when producing, transporting, keeping and utilizing food products;
2. Separate keeping of raw and heat treated products;
3. Thorough heat treatment of food before its using;
4. Keeping the necessary temperature of the food stock and ready products at the storage;
5. Usage of safe water and products.
