Interventional cardiologist of Tyumen Cardiology Center is appointed as an expert on high technologies in Ural Federal District

Dr. Zyryanov treats this new important title in a calm way and says, “I do not think that official appointment will change my work, maybe, in some ways.” For many years already he has been dealing with employee training, implementation of innovative diagnostics and treatment into practice, correspondence with the authorities on cardiovascular diseases treatment, solving other problems, requiring specialist estimation. Nowadays the main interventional cardiologist of Tyumen Cardiology Center is an expert in high-tech diagnostics and treatment which has been applied in our country during only 15 years and now are rapidly developing. “Cardiologists were the first to use X-ray and endovascular technologies for heart and vessels. Now these technologies are efficiently applied in oncology, neurology, gynecology. This specialty is new, so there are a lot of unsolved issues and our target is to support implementation of innovative methods into Russian medical practice,” Dr. Zyryanov explains. “Such kind of care are devoted not only to raise the quality of treatment of many diseases but also to save life of patients with severe pathology.”

Dr. Zyryanov started to think about medicine at school. He was a professional sportsman (a Candidate in masters of swimming and canoeing), that is why it was a difficult choice. He has never regretted the decision of becoming a doctor. In 1992 Dr. Zyryanov graduated residence in Academician V.I. Shumakov Federal Research Center of Transplantology and Artificial Organs and half year later (in 27 years old) he became a Head of X-ray and Surgery Methods of Diagnostics and Treatment Department. During 23 years he has been managing this staff work.

“Today we are applying all range of high-tech catheter interventions in coronary artery disease. 24-hours a day department is helping Tyumen citizens with acute coronary syndrome,” Zyryanov said. Our interventional cardiologists regularly take part in Russian and international scientific conferences, it gives us an opportunity to apply the most modern achievements of invasive cardiology.

“You have to be one of the best in what you do,” Zyryanov says. “I respect professionals who prove their skills with actions but not words. Now we are providing a big scope of high-technological help at the top level. The department potential shows that we are able to perform three times (!) more interventions. I get huge moral satisfaction from my work, because I know that we can give real help.”
