New approaches to management of patients with atrial fibrillation will be discussed in Vienna

On 23 January VI Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation (SPAF) Academy Meeting “Experienced Protection – Beyond the New Era of Anticoagulation” will be held in Vienna (Austria).

Prof. Alexander Rychkov, Deputy Director of Tyumen cardiology Center for Research Work, will take part in the meeting within the Russian delegation as an expert of Russian Society of Cardiology (RSC).

Prof. Rychkov explained, “It is an international project within which all-world experts are discussing the latest information on anticoagulants application in patients with one of the most dangerous heart rhythm disturbances – atrial fibrillation. At the meeting physicians and scientists will share their experience and experts will present interesting case studies. In the first place, experience of our foreign colleagues is very important for the specialists of Department of Surgical Treatment of Complex Heart Rhythm Disturbances and Pacing because they can apply the latest achievements in the treatment of patients”.

The project unites scientists and cardiologists from all around the world. This year the main objectives of the meeting are providing detailed information about the devastating consequences of stroke, presenting the benefits of new anticoagulants and their role for stroke prevention, and many others.
