Tyumen cardiologists participated in two international conferences in Europe

International Congress “EuroEcho-Imaging 2014” took place in Vienne (Austria) on 3-6 December.Participants of this annual grand forum have a unique opportunity to be introduced to the latest scientific achievements in non-invasive diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases, to listen to the leading global specialists and visit the exhibition of up-to-date medical equipment. The Congress is always gaining its popularity and today it is one of the biggest and finest scientific diagnostic forums in Europe. The meeting was organized by European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) of European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

Our specialists traditionally take part in the Congress. This year Prof. Vadim Kuznetsov, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, made 3 poster presentations devoted to clinical features of coronary artery disease and treatment of patients with congestive heart failure.

Some interesting data fr om the Congress: more than 3500 participants representing 93 nationalities visited the meeting this year; more than 1300 abstracts were submitted; 126 scientific sessions were organized; 350 Faculty from 43 countries presented lectures. Next year the forum will be held in Seville (Spain).

Another event took place on 2-5 December in Rome (Italy), wh ere the XVI International Symposium on Progress in Clinical Pacing was held. Vadim Kuznetsov delivered a lecture “Cardiac resynchronization therapy in patients with right bundle branch block and intraventricular conduction delay” during the symposium “Debatable indications for cardiac resynchronization therapy”. This year the main topics for discussion at the meeting are basic electrophysiology, genetic aspects of arrhythmia, sell and gene therapy of arrhythmia, issues of clinical arrhythmology, application and perspectives of invasive therapy and many other current issues.
