On 4 December Vladimir Putin applied to the Federal Assembly with the annual Presidential Address. Traditionally the address was announced in the St George Hall in the Kremlin in the presence of over 1000 guests, such as members of the Federation Council, members of the lower house of the Russian Parliament, members of the Government, managers of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, public figures, managers of the biggest mass media organizations.
The President reminded about the most important events of the passing year, discussed political and economical issues in details, informed about coming changes in social and business fields and declared general strategic policy of the country.
The President proposed to declare 2015 the National Year of Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases “I would like to draw your attention to another paramount fact. This year Russia is for the first time approved to be a prosperous country as per the global rate of health care. This rate consists of countries with lifetime of more than 70 years. Now this index exceeds 71 years in Russia. In my opinion, in the nearest future we will be able to increase the average lifetime up to 74 years and reduce death rate. So, I propose to declare 2015 the National Year of Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases, the main reason of death today by united efforts of specialists from medicine, culture, education, mass media and members of public and sports organizations.”It appeared that the next year Tyumen Cardiology Center will be celebrating its anniversary; its staff has been putting their efforts to control cardiovascular diseases during almost 30 years.
